We move dry bulk by barge: coal, crushed stone and sand, and covered hoppers. Three kinds of work, all of it on the Ohio, the Monongahela, the Allegheny.

Line-haul towing

We make up tows and run them between pools. Coal in open hoppers, crushed stone and sand, and covered hoppers. Our boats have run at least as far down as Catlettsburg, Kentucky, about mile 317.

Harbor services

Short moves close to home. Pull a barge from the fleet, deliver it to the dock, pick up the empties. Lightboat runs when a boat is needed somewhere else.

Fleeting and shifting

Moored barges held at our four fleets on the Ohio, from McKees Rocks at mile 4 down to Sitran at mile 819, and respotting along the docks. We run a two-boat fleet at Hannibal, Ohio.

Where we work

Three rivers meet at the Point in Pittsburgh. Our office and home fleet sit four miles down the Ohio, with more fleets downriver. From here the water runs all the way to the Gulf.
